Dan Riss
Dan Riss was an actor who had a successful Hollywood career. Riss kickstarted his acting career in various films such as "Pinky" (1949), "Kiss Tomorrow Goodbye" (1950) and the drama "Panic in the Streets" (1950) with Richard Widmark. He also appeared in the Alan Ladd crime feature "Appointment With Danger" (1951), the Van Johnson drama "Go For Broke" (1951) and the Mark Stevens crime picture "Little Egypt" (1951). He kept working in film throughout the fifties, starring in the Humphrey Bogart crime flick "The Enforcer" (1951), the James Stewart biopic "Carbine Williams" (1952) and "Operation Secret" (1952). He also appeared in the drama "Scarlet Angel" (1952) with Yvonne De Carlo, the drama "Washington Story" (1952) with Van Johnson and the Edmond O'Brien crime feature "Man in the Dark" (1953). Film continued to be his passion as he played roles in "The Girl Who Had Everything" (1953) with Elizabeth Taylor, "Vice Squad" (1953) with Edward G Robinson and "Human Desire" (1954) with Glenn Ford. He also appeared in the western "The Yellow Tomahawk" (1954) with Rory Calhoun, the western "Three Young Texans" (1954) with Mitzi Gaynor and the historical feature "Badman's Country" (1958) with George Montgomery. Riss last acted in the drama "The Story on Page One" (1960) with Rita Hayworth. Riss passed away in August 1970 at the age of 60.
