Actress-musician Danielle Brisebois made a splash in Hollywood both on and off-screen for more than four decades. To break into the world of acting, Brisebois held roles in films like "Slow Dancing in the Big City" (1978) with Paul Sorvino and "King of the Gypsies" (1978) with Sterling Hayden. Brisebois worked in television around the start of her acting career with a role on "All in the Family" (CBS, 1970-79). She was nominated for a Golden Globe Award for "Archie Bunker's Place" in 1981. She continued to work steadily in film throughout the eighties and the nineties, appearing in the Francine Levesque documentary "L' Emotion Dissonante" (1984), the action flick "Big Bad Mama II" (1988) with Angie Dickinson and the action picture "Kill Crazy" (1991) with David Heavener. She also appeared in the Jack Nicholson box office smash dramedy "As Good As It Gets" (1997). Brisebois's music was also featured in the sports drama "Ice Princess" (2005) with Joan Cusack, the Pell James romantic comedy "Undiscovered" (2005) and "The Ugly Truth" (2009). Her music was also featured in "Easy A" (2010) with Emma Stone. Brisebois's music was most recently featured in the comedic drama "Begin Again" (2014) with Keira Knightley. Brisebois was nominated for a Music (Original Song) Academy Award for "Begin Again" in 2014.
