DaniLeigh

Dominican-American singer and songwriter DaniLeigh was born Danielle Leigh Curiel on December 20, 1994 in Miami, Florida. With a passion for music at a young age, DaniLeigh moved to Los Angeles as a teenager to pursue a career. She initially found success as a back-up dancer while working on the side in a pop duo called Curly Fryz with her sister. When Prince wanted someone new to direct the music video for "Breakfast Can Wait" (2013), he gave DaniLeigh full artistic control at age 18. Following that success, DaniLeigh signed with Def Jam Recordings as a solo artist. In quick succession she released two studio albums, "Summer with Friends" (2017) and "The Plan" (2018). She appeared as a cameo in Megan Thee Stallion's video for "Hot Girl Summer" (2019). DaniLeigh was also the choreographer for DaBaby's "BOP on Broadway" (2019) music video. In 2023, DaniLeigh was cast as the pop star lead in the BET+ Christmas movie "Christmas Angel" (2023).
