David Kendall
American TV director David Kendall began his career in the early '80s as a writer and director with his caveman comedy "Luggage of the Gods!" While the film may not be well-remembered, it was successful in drawing attention to Kendall and his comedic sensibilities. In 1985, he joined the writing staff of the family comedy "Growing Pains" and would continue to writer for the series for the next six years. In that time, he also served as story editor and producer. After Kendall left the show in 1991, he moved on to another family comedy "Boy Meets World," where he served as an executive producer from 1994 to 2000. During this time, he also wrote for the show, and began his television-directing career helming 12 episodes of the popular sitcom. While Kendall would return to writing and producing throughout his career, directing became his true passion. His reputation for wholesome family comedies lead to directorial duties on such cutting-edge kid-friendly comedies as "That's So Raven," "Zoey 101," "Hannah Montana," "Ned's Declassified School Survival Guide," and "iCarly."
