Dominique Purdy
The youngest paid regular in the history of the World Famous Laugh Factory, Dominique Purdy has wisdom beyond his years. The Los Angeles native started doing comedy at the age of 14, and was discovered by Laugh Factory owner, Jaime Masada, who recognized the teenager's immense talent and started booking him. He has also performed at clubs including the Ha Ha Café, Comedy Store, and The Improv. His first comedy album was "Slapstick Marvelous." In addition to his performances, he has worked steadily in film and television, starting with a role in the 2004 short film "Compton Cowboy" and a guest spot on "Ghost Whisperer." He had a breakthrough film role in 2006's "The Boys & Girls Guide to Getting Down," directed by Paul Sapiano. He collaborated with Sapiano again when he starred as Max in the ribald comedy "Hollywood Sex Wars," and in 2007 played a small role in the zombie comedy "Wasting Away." In Los Angeles, he works as a member of live sketch comedy troupe The Edgeucation, which was nominated for a NAACP award. In addition, Purdy has developed an online following with his Twitter account and funny viral videos, including the "13 Scariest Stories" series that he hosts for CurrentTV.
