Efrain Figueroa
After more than fifteen years as a working actor, Efrain Figueroa delivered a breakthrough screen performance as the abusive father in Miguel Arteta's acclaimed indie "Star Maps" (1997). Compact and beefy, the Hispanic actor made his film debut in a bit role in "Ragtime" (1981) and subsequently worked as a voice recordist on such features as "Death Becomes Her" (1992) and "Phenomenon" (1996). Figueroa has acted in guest appearances on such series as "Walker, Texas Ranger" (in a recurring role), "Dallas" and "Murder, She Wrote" as well as a regular on the short-lived police drama "Houston Knights" (CBS, 1987-88). He garnered critical notice for his appearance in the HBO special "Cosmic Slop" (1994).
