Elizabeth Alderfer was an American actress who broke out in late 2017 when she began appearing alongside Oscar-winner Kathy Bates on the Netflix comedy "Disjointed" (Netflix, 2017- ). Although Alderfer had been appearing on television and in films since the late 2000s, little about her personal life was known when it was announced she'd be appearing in "Disjointed." After appearing in a couple of short films in the late 2000s and early 2010s, Alderfer nabbed her very first film role in the 2013 horror movie "Turtle Island" (2013). Alderfer was the star of the film, which involved a group of friends searching for the ever-elusive Bigfoot in the woods of Vermont. Over the course of the next few years Alderfer mostly nabbed guest spots on TV shows like "The Good Wife" (CBS, 2009-2016), "Unforgettable" (CBS/A&E, 2011-16), and "Orange Is the New Black" (Netflix, 2013- ). With her TV career already on the rise, Alderfer broadened her acting horizons in 2016 and 2017 by appearing in three films: "The Passing Season" (2016), "Better off Single" (2016), and "Game Day" (2017). After close to a decade of professional acting work, Alderfer nabbed her breakout role in 2017 when she was cast in the Netflix marijuana comedy "Disjointed." The show, which was co-created by Chuck Lorre of "Two and a Half Men" (CBS, 2003-2015) fame, starred Kathy Bates as the owner of a Los Angeles weed dispensary. On the series, Alderefer played one of the twentysomething "budtenders" who Bates' character hired to help run the business.
