Gene Vincent brought his musical talents to a variety of films over the course of his Hollywood career. Vincent began his entertainment career with his music featured in films like "The Year of Living Dangerously" (1982), "Where the Boys Are '84" (1984) with Lisa Hartman Black and "Sweet Dreams" (1985) with Jessica Lange. His music also appeared in "Tuff Turf" (1985) and the drama "Desert Hearts" (1986) with Helen Shaver. Though known first for his music, Vincent also acted in the musical comedy "It's Trad, Dad!" (1961) with Helen Shapiro. In the eighties and the nineties, Vincent's music continued to appear on the silver screen, including in films like the Thomas Hanzon comedy "Nionde kompaniet" (1987), the documentary "Imagine: John Lennon" (1988) with Yoko Ono and the Philip Davis comedy "High Hopes" (1989). His work was also in the drama "The Delinquents" (1989) with Kylie Minogue and "Wild At Heart" (1990). Vincent's music was also featured in the Keith Coogan comedy "Book of Love" (1991), "This Boy's Life" (1993) and the William H. Macy fantastical comedy "Pleasantville" (1998). His music was also featured in "The Singing Detective" (2003) with Robert Downey Jr.. Vincent's music was most recently used in the Dwayne Johnson animated movie "Planet 51" (2009).
