George Humbert
George Humbert was an actor who had a successful Hollywood career. Humbert's early acting career consisted of roles in various films, such as "The Bright Shawl" (1923), "A Farewell to Arms" (1932) and "Hearts of Humanity" (1932). He also appeared in the western "The California Trail" (1933) with Buck Jones, "Laughing at Life" (1933) and "I Cover the Waterfront" (1933). His film career continued throughout the thirties in productions like the comedic drama "Hi, Nellie!" (1934) with Paul Muni, the Dolores Del Rio musical "In Caliente" (1935) and the Burgess Meredith dramatic adaptation "Winterset" (1936). He also appeared in "Banjo on My Knee" (1936). Film continued to be his passion as he played roles in "You Can't Have Everything" (1937) with Alice Faye, "Love Is News" (1937) with Tyrone Power and "Flirting With Fate" (1938). He also appeared in "No Time to Marry" (1938) and the Constance Bennett comedy sequel "Topper Takes a Trip" (1939). Humbert last acted in the dramatic adaptation "The Rose Tattoo" (1955) with Anna Magnani. Humbert passed away in May 1963 at the age of 83.
