Georgia Allen
Actress Georgia Allen was known for her roles on the silver screen. Allen began her acting career in film, appearing in such titles as the romance "Together for Days" (1972) with Clifton Davis, the dramatic comedy "Greased Lightning" (1977) with Richard Pryor and the John Cassavetes drama "Marvin and Tige" (1983). She also appeared in the TV movie "I Know Why the Caged Bird Sings" (CBS, 1978-79). She also was featured in the miniseries "Freedom Road" (1979-1980) and "Guyana Tragedy: The Story of Jim Jones" (1979-1980). Her film career continued throughout the nineties and the early 2000s in productions like the thriller "Black Rainbow" (1990) with Rosanna Arquette, the Matthew Modine dramatic adaptation "Fluke" (1995) and the crime flick "Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil" (1997) with Kevin Spacey. She also appeared in "Madea's Family Reunion" (2006). Allen had a number of different projects under her belt in the early 2000s and the 2010s, including "Gamer" (2009), "Legion" (2010) and "Shoot First and Pray You Live" with Jim Gaffigan (2010). Her credits also expanded to "The Book of Eli" (2010) starring Denzel Washington and "Paul" (2011) starring Simon Pegg. Allen most recently worked on the Martin Freeman smash hit adventure "The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies" (2014). Allen was nominated for an Outstanding Makeup For a Multi-Camera Series or a Special (Non-Prosthetic) Primetime Emmy Award for "Key & Peele" in 2014.
