Gustave von Seyffertitz

Gustav Von Seyffertitz was an actor who had a successful Hollywood career. Seyffertitz's early acting career consisted of roles in various films, such as "Sherlock Holmes" (1922), "When Knighthood Was in Flower" (1922) and "The Bandolero" (1924). He also appeared in "The Eagle" (1925) with Rudolph Valentino, "The Bells" (1926) with Lionel Barrymore and "Don Juan" (1926) with John Barrymore. He continued to act in productions like "The Gaucho" (1928), "The Yellow Lily" (1928) and "Vamping Venus" (1928). He also appeared in the spy thriller "The Mysterious Lady" (1928) with Greta Garbo. Nearing the end of his career, he tackled roles in the crime picture "The Penguin Pool Murder" (1932) with Edna May Oliver, "The Roadhouse Murder" (1932) and the dramatic period piece "Rasputin and the Empress" (1932) with John Barrymore. He also appeared in "When Strangers Marry" (1933) and the Greta Garbo period drama "Queen Christina" (1933). Seyffertitz more recently acted in "The Mad Empress" (1939). Seyffertitz passed away in December 1943 at the age of 80.
