Hazel Dickens
Hazel Dickens worked on a variety of projects during her entertainment career. Dickens worked on a variety of projects during her early entertainment career, including "Harlan County, U.S.A." (1977) starring Nimrod Workman and "Matewan" with Chris Cooper (1987). She went on to act in "Great Moments in Bluegrass" (The Nashville Network, 1993-94) and the Peter Hamilton Rowan documentary "Gather at the River: A Bluegrass Celebration" (1994). Later in her career, Dickens acted in the dramatic musical "Songcatcher" (2001) with Janet McTeer. Dickens passed away in April 2011 at the age of 76.
