Jacqueline Emerson
A musically gifted titian-haired actress, Jacqueline Emerson was born Aug. 21, 1994 in Washington, D.C. She lent her voice to a set of tiger twins in the animated CGI sitcom "Father of the Pride" (NBC, 2004), but achieved greater success two years later as a member of Disney's Devo 2.0 (a.k.a. DEV2.O), a Devo tribute band of teen performers. Emerson played keyboards in the project, which spawned a DVD and CD combo and was fully supported by the original Devo band members. Although the novelty act soon broke up, Emerson continued to write songs and perform music, and was accepted into Stanford University in 2011. She made headlines when she was cast as the cleverest of "The Hunger Games" (2012) tributes, a group of 24 young women and men chosen at random to fight to the death on a gruesome reality show in the dystopian future of the blockbuster film. Dubbed "Fox Face" by fellow competitor Katniss Everdeen (Jennifer Lawrence) for her unusually high intelligence, Emerson's doomed character remained mysterious yet all the more fascinating for that very fact.
