Jerod Mixon
Given his incredibly large proportions, it's perhaps no surprise that Jerod Mixon is known for playing funny obese characters in mainstream comedies. Mixon got his start in the late '90s, appearing in guest starring roles in a number of sitcoms, including "Malcolm & Eddie," "Moesha," and "The Good News." He also landed a small part as a thug in Warren Beatty's 1998 political comedy "Bulworth." However, it was in 2000's "Me, Myself & Irene," directed by the Farrelly Brothers, that Mixon really started to get noticed. In the film Mixon played Shonté Jr., the illegitimate stepson of Jim Carrey's character. The film was a huge box-office success and eventually caught the attention of director Todd Phillips. Phillips was impressed by Mixon's performance and cast the young actor as a fraternity pledge named Weensie in his 2003 frat-boy comedy "Old School." Mixon continued to act primarily in comedies throughout the middle of the decade, such as 2003's "Family Reunion: The Movie" and 2004's "The Cookout." He also landed a guest-starring role as an overweight medical patient in a 2006 episode of the sitcom "Scrubs." In 2011 Mixon had the rare opportunity to appear alongside his brother, fellow actor Jamal Mixon, in the hip-hop comedy "White T."
