Jessica Renee Russell

Texas native Jessica Renee Russell did not find immediate success as an actor. She spent much of her early professional career in Texas, acting in plays in Dallas and making appearances in the films of local talent. After her first onscreen appearance in the short film "Sea Change" (2009) she appeared in at least 10 other projects that never received a wide release, if any. Among the shorts and feature lengths works were "Evil, I" (2009), "Vamps, Blood & Smoking Guns" (2009), and "Entropy" (2014). She finally broke through in 2015, when she was cast as a series regular on "Donny!" (USA, 2015-). The show featured TV personality Donny Deutsch playing a fictionalized version of himself. Russell played Violet, the most naïve of Donny's assistants.
