Johnny Rivers

Johnny Rivers worked on a variety of projects during his entertainment career. Rivers worked on a variety of projects during his early entertainment career, including"American Bandstand's 33 1/3 Celebration" (ABC, 1985-86), "Colors" (1988) and "It's What's Happening, Baby!" (CBS, 1964-65). He also contributed to "Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band" with Peter Frampton (1978) and "She's Out Of Control" (1989). Rivers won a Best Contemporary Single Grammy Award in 1967. He also worked in television around this time, including a part on "The History of Rock 'n' Roll" (1994-95). He also contributed to a variety of television specials, including "American Bandstand 40th Anniversary Special" (ABC, 1991-92) and "More of the Best of the Hollywood Palace" (ABC, 1992-93). Rivers also created music for "Talent for the Game" (1991) with Edward James Olmos. Rivers was also known for his contributions to "Wild Things" (1998), the comedy "Bowfinger" (1999) with Steve Martin and the western "Gunfighter" (1999) with Robert Carradine. Rivers's music was most recently used in the comedic action flick "The Spy Next Door" (2010) with Jackie Chan.
