Born on June 18, 1988, in Columbus, Ohio, is an American musician best known for being the drummer for Twenty One Pilots. At a young age, Dun taught himself how to play drums. In March 2010, Dun temporarily joined House of Heroes after the band's drummer, Colin Rigsby, took a break to spend more time with his family. In 2011, upon the invite from Chris Salih, Dun attended a Twenty One Pilots show. After the show, Dun met Tyler Joseph. After the departure of Nick Thomas and Chris Salih in May and June 2011, Dun quit his job and decided to be the band's permanent drummer. On January 8, 2013, the band's first album, Vessel, was released. On May 17, 2015, Blurryface was released. In July 2017, Twenty One Pilots went on hiatus for a year whilst they worked on their next album, Trench. On December 8, 2020, Twenty One Pilots released a Christmas song, titled "Christmas Saves the Year."
