Judith Lowry
Judith Lowry's acting talents were showcased on the big screen many times throughout the course of her Hollywood career. In her early acting career, Lowry appeared in such films as the Anne Bancroft dramatic adaptation "The Miracle Worker" (1962), the dramatic adaptation "Ladybug, Ladybug" (1963) with June Connell and the drama "Andy" (1965) with Norman Alden. She also appeared in "Valley of the Dolls" (1967). Her film career continued throughout the sixties and the seventies in productions like the Alan Arkin drama "Popi" (1969), the drama "Husbands" (1970) with Ben Gazzara and the Dick Van Dyke comedy "Cold Turkey" (1971). She also appeared in "The Anderson Tapes" (1971) with Sean Connery. Film continued to be her passion as she played roles in the Joanne Woodward dramatic adaptation "The Effect of Gamma Rays on Man-in-the-Moon Marigolds" (1972) and the comedy "Superdad" (1974) with Bob Crane. She also worked in television during these years, including a part on "Calucci's Department" (CBS, 1973-74). Lowry more recently acted on "Phyllis" (CBS, 1975-77). Lowry passed away in November 1976 at the age of 86.
