Kay Linaker
Kay Linaker was an actress who had a successful Hollywood career. Linaker began her acting career with roles in such films as "Easy Money" (1936), the drama "Crack-Up" (1936) with Peter Lorre and "Road Gang" (1936). She also appeared in "The Outer Gate" (1937), the mystery "Charlie Chan at Monte Carlo" (1937) with Warner Oland and "Black Aces" (1937). She continued to work steadily in film throughout the thirties and the forties, appearing in the dramedy "Trade Winds" (1938) with Fredric March, the Sidney Toler mystery "Charlie Chan in Reno" (1939) and the Henry Fonda western "Drums Along the Mohawk" (1939). She also appeared in "Hidden Enemy" (1940). Nearing the end of her career, she tackled roles in "War Dogs" (1942), the William Gargan mystery "A Close Call For Ellery Queen" (1942) and "Two Weeks to Live" (1943). She also appeared in "Cinderella Swings It" (1943) and the comedic adaptation "Let's Face It" (1943) with Bob Hope. Linaker last wrote "The Blob" (1958). Linaker passed away in April 2008 at the age of 95.
