Kwame Boateng
Kwame Boateng has appeared as a model for several popular clothing brands, and starting in the mid-to-late 2000s, began transitioning into acting. His earliest roles were in sitcoms aimed at an African-American audience, including "All of Us," a series created by Hollywood stars Will Smith and Jada Pinkett-Smith, and "Everybody Hates Chris," developed by comedian and actor Chris Rock and based on his own childhood. Boateng appeared as a guest star on both shows: in the '07 "Everybody Hates Chris" episode "Everybody Hates the New Kid," he was memorable as Albert, only the second black kid to enroll in Chris' mostly-white school. Through his friendship with the new kid, the main protagonist learns that just because two people are the same ethnicity does not mean they are exactly alike. That same year, he also appeared on an episode of "Entourage," and in '08 had a small part in "The Onion Movie," a feature-length spoof of current events starring Steven Seagal. This was followed by a role in "Not Easily Broken," a romantic drama about relationships boasting a multi-racial cast, as well as guest spots on the popular television series "The Office" and "ER," all in '09. Boateng closed out the decade by appearing in an episode of the critically-lauded, but short-lived crime series "The Chicago Code."
