Leon Hirszman
Leading filmmaker associated with Brazil's Cinema Novo movement. His best known works are "Sao Bernardo" (1970), considered a Brazilian classic, and "They Don't Wear Black Tie" (1981), a very powerful film dealing with striking workers which deservedly won an award at the Venice Film Festival.
