Lynn Loring
Lynn Loring began her acting career at the tender of age of seven on the long-running soap opera "Search for Tomorrow." She stayed on the show for the next 10 years until her graduation from high school, when she decided to pursue other avenues of acting. She got a role on the big screen as one of the teens in "Splendor in the Grass," the melodramatic tale of doomed young love with Warren Beatty and Natalie Wood. After a bit role in 1962's "Pressure Point," Loring returned to television with guest appearances on Western institution "Gunsmoke," the quintessential lawyer show "Perry Mason," and the old-fashioned teen-hormone sitcom "The Many Loves of Dobie Gillis" She landed a recurring role on the series "Fair Exchange" as Patty Walker, one of the swapped daughters of two army buddies. Soon becoming quite adept at portraying female offspring, she also played the daughter of Inspector Lewis Erskine (Efrem Zimbalist, Jr.) on "The F.B.I." in 1965. Her acting career continued with similar small roles and bit parts on various TV series until, in 1979, she quit acting altogether and turned to producing with the TV revival film "The Return of Mod Squad." Two more TV films followed, "The Best Little Girl in the World" and "Sizzle" in 1981. But she found bona fide success by producing the hit Michael Keaton comedy "Mr. Mom" in 1983. Lynn Loring died December 23, 2023 at the age of 80.
