Tony King

Throughout his entertainment career as an accomplished actor, Tony King graced the silver screen many times. In the early stages of his acting career, King landed roles in action flicks like "Shaft" (1971) with Richard Roundtree and Moses Gunn, the Paul Winfield film "Gordon's War" (1973) and the Fred "The Hammer" Williamson film "Hell Up in Harlem" (1973). King worked in television around the start of his acting career with a role on "Bronk" (CBS, 1975-76). He kept working in film throughout the seventies and the eighties, starring in the action flick "Bucktown" (1975) with Fred "The Hammer" Williamson, "Report to the Commissioner" (1975) and the Philip Michael Thomas drama "Sparkle" (1976). He also appeared in "Cannibals in the Streets" (1980) with John Saxon. He also landed a role in the miniseries "Guyana Tragedy: The Story of Jim Jones" (1979-1980). Film continued to be his passion as he played roles in "The Last Hunter" (1980), the action movie "Sharky's Machine" (1981) with Burt Reynolds and the comedy "The Toy" (1982) with Richard Pryor. He also appeared in "The Big Score" (1983). He also was featured in the TV movie "Inmates: A Love Story" (ABC, 1980-81). King more recently acted in the James Andronica thriller "The November Men" (1993).
