A vibrant actress and life force, Marie-Chantal Perron charmed audiences in any project in which she appeared. Born Feb. 1, 1967 in Châteauguay, Québec, Canada, Marie-Chantal Perron rose steadily through the ranks of screen actors with high-profile turns in the historical miniseries "Marguerite Volant" (Radio-Canada, 1996) and on the series "Les héritiers Duval" (Radio-Canada, 1977-1980, 1990-92) before earning a Gémeaux nomination for her work on the circle-of-friends comedy "Histoires de filles" (TVA, 1999-2008). After a supporting role in the "Les Boys III" (2001) installment of the wildly popular franchise, she landed her most famous role, as the magically imaginative substitute teacher "La mystérieuse mademoiselle C." ("The Mysterious Miss C.") (2002) who brings out the best in her unruly charges. Nominated for a Best Actress Jutra Award for her whimsically wonderful turn, Perron reprised the role in "L'incomparable mademoiselle C." ("The Incomparable Miss C.") (2004), earned two Best Supporting Actress Gémeaux nominations for the sweeping family saga "Nos étés" (TVA, 2005-08), and lensed a fun supporting turn in the comic fantasy smash "Babine" (2008). After a series regular role on "11 Règles" (V, 2010), she recurred on "Les Parent" (Radio-Canada, 2008- ) and "Le gentleman" (TVA, 2009- ) as well as booking a film role in "J'espère que tu vas bien" (2012). Renowned for her quirky, sparkling personality and creative sense, Perron also launched a successful clothing line.
