Bravo Fred Pellerin. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 02/08/23 Full Review Audience Member When i saw the trailer i was hoping for a nice movie but instead i find a long and slow flick with almost no content and the ending sucks. Rated 1.5 out of 5 stars 01/12/23 Full Review Audience Member Wow what a movie. Mixing myth, hard reality, and comedy, and doing it in an inspiring way. I'm surprised there is no activity here reviewing this movie, but c'est la vie, non? The central characters are richly developed and the story compelling. The setting may be representative but could be anywhere at anytime. Look for the self-referential joke about two-thirds the way through. Very funny and heartwarming. NB What Edgar Chaput does not seem to understand, in his insistence that myth somehow match reality more closely is that: this is a myth, with outrageous elements bent by time and retelling. I think those elements are delightful and speak to the grandiose imaginations of the writer and presumably the originators of the myth who are personified by the garage owner character who announces the checker match in the style of a title fight with such flamboyance. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 02/23/23 Full Review Audience Member Un excellent film d'une histoire fantastique de St-Elie-de-Caxton Rated 4 out of 5 stars 01/14/23 Full Review Read all reviews
