Melissa DiMarco
Melissa DiMarco is a familiar face to Canadian TV viewers thanks to her lengthy tenure as Principal Daphne Hatzilakos on the hit high school drama, "Degrassi: The Next Generation," and her memorable role on "Out There with Melissa DiMarco." The latter, award-winning dramedy features DiMarco playing an on-the-move entertainment reporter who can't get her personal life in order (the show includes actual interviews with movie stars at press junkets and film festivals). DiMarco, who also serves as the show's writer, director, and producer, is actually playing a version of herself. A producer and celebrity interviewer since the mid-1990s--perhaps best known for the quick-hit, late night entertainment program, "Nite Life"--DiMarco uses her real-life experiences as fodder for her acclaimed fictional program. American audiences may recognize the attractive blonde as the wife of Pete Rose in the ESPN biopic, "Hustle" (directed by Peter Bogdanovich), and as Ving Rhames' co-star on the short-lived retooling of the 1970s detective show, "Kojak."
