C. Montague Shaw
Montague Shaw was an actor who had a successful Hollywood career. Shaw began his acting career with roles in such films as "Morgan's Last Raid" (1929), "Pack Up Your Troubles" (1932) with Stan Laurel and the Clive Brook adventure "Sherlock Holmes" (1932). He also appeared in the Lionel Atwill dramatic adaptation "The Silent Witness" (1932), "The Big Brain" (1933) and the Ronald Colman dramatic adaptation "The Masquerader" (1933). He continued to work steadily in film throughout the thirties, appearing in "My American Wife" (1936), "Undersea Kingdom" (1936) and the sci-fi picture "Flash Gordon's Trip to Mars" (1938) with Buster Crabbe. He also appeared in the fantasy "Buck Rogers" (1939) with Buster Crabbe, the dramatic adventure "Stanley and Livingstone" (1939) with Spencer Tracy and the drama "The Rains Came" (1939) with Myrna Loy. Film continued to be his passion as he played roles in the mystery "Charlie Chan's Murder Cruise" (1940) with Sidney Toler, the Warren Hull action film "The Green Hornet Strikes Again" (1940) and "Burma Convoy" (1941). He also appeared in "Charley's Aunt" (1941), the Gene Tierney adventure "Thunder Birds" (1942) and "G-Men Vs. the Black Dragon" (1943). Shaw more recently acted in "An Angel Comes to Brooklyn" (1945). Shaw passed away in February 1968 at the age of 86.
