Nora Marlowe is a film and television character actress with over 90 screen credits to her name. She made her TV debut in 1955 with a small role in the live anthology series "Studio 57," and soon found steady work on such shows as "Schlitz Playhouse" and "Alfred Hitchcock Presents." In 1959 she landed a recurring role as a boarding house mistress on the short-lived Western "Law of the Plainsman," and continued appearing on such shows as "77 Sunset Strip" and "Wagon Train." During the '60s Marlowe landed roles on numerous TV series, including "The Fugitive," "The Donna Reed Show," and "Family Affair." In 1969 she was cast in a supporting role on the family sitcom "The Governor and J.J.," and later appeared on such primetime series as "The Bob Newhart Show" and "Barnaby Jones." From 1972 to 1977 she portrayed Flossie Brimmer on the long-running series "The Waltons," which became a much beloved character.
