Actor Norbert Schiller was widely known for his presence on the silver screen. Schiller's career in acting began with his roles in various films like the spy thriller "Berlin Express" (1948) with Merle Oberon, "Sealed Verdict" (1948) and the Richard Conte drama "Thieves' Highway" (1949). He also appeared in "Deep in My Heart" (1954), "The Racers" (1955) and the horror feature "Frankenstein - 1970" (1958) with Boris Karloff. His passion for acting continued to his roles in projects like the dramatic adaptation "The Young Lions" (1958) with Marlon Brando, "Operation Eichmann" (1961) with Werner Klemperer and the spy picture "36 Hours" (1964) with James Garner. He also appeared in the Marlon Brando drama "Morituri" (1965), the spy thriller "Torn Curtain" (1966) with Paul Newman and "In Enemy Country" (1968) with Anthony Franciosa. Nearing the end of his career, he tackled roles in the Maximilian Schell dramatic adaptation "The Man in the Glass Booth" (1974), the Gustav Rudolf Sellner drama "The Pedestrian" (1974) and the Jon Voight thrilling adaptation "Murder on the Bridge" (1975). He also appeared in "The World's Greatest Lover" (1977). He also was featured in the TV movies "Nightmare" (CBS, 1973-74) and "James A. Michener's "Dynasty"" (NBC, 1975-76). Schiller last acted in "Tales From the Vienna Woods" (1978) with Birgit Doll. Schiller passed away in January 1988 at the age of 89.
