Patrick Ryecart was a British actor who brought his acting talents to Hollywood films. Ryecart began his acting career in film, appearing in such titles as the drama "A Bridge Too Far" (1977) with Dirk Bogarde, "Silver Dream Racer" (1980) and "Tai-Pan" (1986) with Bryan Brown. He had an early role on the television special "Romeo and Juliet" (PBS, 1978-79). He additionally landed roles in the TV movies "Camille" (CBS, 1984-85) and "Arthur the King" (CBS, 1984-85). He also contributed to a variety of television specials, including "The Rivals" (1988-89) and "Silas Marner" (PBS, 1989-1990). He also worked in television around this time, including a part on "The Bretts II" (PBS, 1988-89). Ryecart took on film roles in more recent years, appearing in the Agnieszka Wagner adaptation "Hotel Shanghai" (1997), "Parting Shots" (1999) with Chris Rea and the Colin Firth hit dramatic biopic "The King's Speech" (2010). He also was featured in the TV movie "Prisoner of Honor" (HBO, 1991-92). Most recently, Ryecart acted on "Poldark" (PBS, 2015-).
