Philo McCullough

Philo McCullough was an actor who had a successful Hollywood career. McCullough started his acting career landing roles in such films as "The Red Circle" (1916), "Partners of Fate" (1921) and "Heroes of the Street" (1922). He also appeared in "The Dangerous Blonde" (1924), "Dick Turpin" (1925) with Tom Mix and "The Calgary Stampede" (1925) with Hoot Gibson. He kept working in film throughout the twenties and the thirties, starring in "The Charlatan" (1929), the drama "The Leatherneck" (1929) with Alan Hale and "The Show of Shows" (1929) starring Frank Fay. He also appeared in "On the Border" (1930). Film continued to be his passion as he played roles in the Victor McLaglen adventure "Laughing at Life" (1933), "Inside Information" (1934) and the western "Thunder Over Texas" (1934) with Guinn Williams. He also appeared in "Captured in Chinatown" (1935) and the western "The Lone Bandit" (1935) with Lane Chandler. McCullough more recently acted in "They Shoot Horses, Don't They?" (1969).
