Ray Noble

As a musician, Ray Noble's entertaining and creative music was in a variety of Hollywood productions. Noble's earliest roles were in film, including the musical "The Big Broadcast of 1936" (1935) with Jack Oakie, "A Damsel in Distress" (1937) with Fred Astaire and "The Pride of the Yankees" (1942). He also appeared in the comedy "Here We Go Again" (1942) with Edgar Bergen. Noble also contributed music to "Brewster's Millions" (1935) and the Jack Hawkins comedy "Touch and Go" (1955). In the eighties and the nineties, Noble's music continued to appear on the silver screen, including in films like the romance "Someone to Watch Over Me" (1987) with Tom Berenger, the comedy "Manifesto" (1989) with Camilla Soeberg and "Miller's Crossing" (1990) with Gabriel Byrne. His work was also in the comedy "Cherokee" (1991) with Bernadette Lafont. Noble's music was also featured in "Six Degrees of Separation" (1993), the Billy Campbell drama "The Brylcreem Boys" (1999) and the Robin Williams dramatic adaptation "Bicentennial Man" (1999). His music was also featured in the dramatic adaptation "I Capture the Castle" (2003) with Romola Garai and the Tobey Maguire box office smash action flick "Spider-Man 2" (2004). Noble's music was most recently used in "Snowpiercer" (2014).
