Regina Carrol
Stage, TV and film actress of the 1960s and 70s best remembered by cultists for her work on the fringes of the industry. Carrol made her feature acting debut in "The Beat Generation" (1959), under her birth name Regina Gelfan. During the 60s, she adopted the last name Carrol and appeared in several mainstream Hollywood films: John Ford's "Two Rode Together" (1961), "Viva Las Vegas" (1964) with Elvis Presley, and Sydney Pollack's directorial debut, "The Slender Thread" (1965). She made TV guest appearances throughout the 60s on "Route 66," "Ozzie and Harriet" and "The Dinah Shore Show."
