Richard Leech

Richard Leech was an accomplished actor who led an impressive career, primarily on the big screen. Leech kickstarted his acting career in various films such as the Robert Donat drama "Lease of Life" (1954), the Alec Guinness dramatic adaptation "The Prisoner" (1955) and "It's Never Too Late" (1956) with Phyllis Calvert. He also appeared in the Michael Redgrave dramatic adaptation "Time Without Pity" (1957), "The Wind Cannot Read" (1958) with Dirk Bogarde and the Dana Andrews horror flick "Curse of the Demon" (1958). He kept working in film throughout the sixties and the seventies, starring in "The Wild and the Willing" (1964), the Laurence Harvey adaptation sequel "Life at the Top" (1965) and "The Fighting Prince of Donegal" (1966). He also appeared in the Simon Ward biopic "Young Winston" (1972). He also was featured in the TV movie "Florence Nightingale" (NBC, 1984-85). Leech most recently appeared in "The Richard Tucker Opera Gala Hosted By Placido Domingo" (PBS, 1999-2000).
