Robert Nichols

Robert Nichols was an actor who had a successful Hollywood career. In his early acting career, Nichols appeared in such films as the Kenneth Tobey horror feature "The Thing" (1951), the comedy "Sally and Saint Anne" (1952) with Ann Blyth and "Jennifer" (1953). He also appeared in the comedy "Dream Wife" (1953) with Cary Grant, "Johnny Dark" (1954) with Tony Curtis and "Tight Spot" (1955). He continued to work steadily in film throughout the sixties, appearing in "We Joined the Navy" (1962) with Kenneth More, the Connie Francis musical comedy "Follow the Boys" (1963) and the Bob Hope comedic adventure "Call Me Bwana" (1963). He also appeared in the action picture "The Victors" (1963) with George Hamilton. During the latter half of his career, he continued to act in "Reuben, Reuben" (1983), the Matthew Modine action flick "Full Metal Jacket" (1987) and the crime feature "An Innocent Man" (1989) with Tom Selleck. Nichols more recently edited the Robin Williams hit comedy "The Birdcage" (1996).
