A multi-talented Renaissance man, Samuel Thivierge was a Canadian actor, writer, director and producer who first rose to prominence with his critically acclaimed 2013 film, "La fille du Martin." A graduate of the Vancouver Film School, Thivierge learned every aspect of producing a film. In the early years of his career, Thivierge involved himself in small projects, including short films such as "The Plastic Protocol" (2010), "One Life" (2011), and "Shoes with a Shine of Crystal" (2011). In 2011, two short films showcased Thivierge's capabilities of producing a movie. He made his directorial debut in the dramatic short "Love Lost" (2011) and wrote, produced, edited and starred in crime thriller "Dead Simple" (2011). In the same year, Thivierge made his feature film debut as a villainous minion in the Canadian sci-fi thriller "Dominant Gene" (2011) and appeared in his first television movie as one of the many auditioners sent to a dysfunctional casting agency in "Last Chance Casting" (2011). While he was building up his acting resume, Thivierge was quietly working on his first feature film, "La fille du Martin." The film follows an unlikely romance between Sara Leblanc (Catherine Michaud), a woman who recently lost her father, and her roguish childhood classmate, played by Thivierge, who also wrote, directed and produced. Thivierge premiered the film at the Montreal World Film Festival, where it was nominated for the Golden Zenith award.
