      Shuko Akune was an actress who starred in a number of impressive television shows. Her career began with roles in "e/r" (1984-85), "He's the Mayor" (ABC, 1985-86) and "Empty Nest" (NBC, 1988-1995). She also appeared in "Murphy Brown" (CBS, 1988-1998). She also worked in film during these years, including roles in the James Caan action film "Alien Nation" (1988). Akune also lent her vocal talents to "G.I. Joe: The Movie" (1987) with Don Johnson. and "The Flintstone Kids "Just Say No" Special" (ABC, 1988-89). She continued to work steadily in television throughout the eighties and the nineties, appearing on "Seinfeld" (NBC, 1989-1998) and "Amazing Grace" (NBC, 1994-95). She also starred in the TV movies "Fire! Trapped on the 37th Floor" (ABC, 1990-91) and "Nightmare in the Daylight" (CBS, 1992-93). She also had roles in film during these years, including roles in "Come See the Paradise" (1990) with Dennis Quaid and the "Blankman" (1994) film with Damon Wayans. She also played parts in television during these years, including roles in "Seinfeld" (NBC, 1989-1998) and "Amazing Grace" (NBC, 1994-95). In her more recent career, she tackled roles on "The Steve Harvey Show" (1995-2002), "Buddy Faro" (CBS, 1998-99) and "Providence" (NBC, 1998-2003). She also appeared in "The District" (CBS, 2000-04) and "L.A. Dragnet" (2002-04). Akune also contributed music to "Rugrats in Paris - The Movie" (2000) featuring Kath Soucie. Akune most recently acted on "Scandal" (ABC, 2011-).
