Sophie Hopkins
Born in Singapore, actress Sophie Hopkins relocated with her family to England where she grew up in the East Yorkshire region. Hopkins attended York College in the city of York, where she studied Performing Arts and Musical Theatre. In 2010 Sophie moved to London to continue her studies in the performing arts, training with the Repertory Theatre company Fourth Monkey. In 2011 Hopkins made her television debut in "Filthy Cities" (BBC 2, 2011), a TV documentary miniseries. That same year Hopkins starred as Anna in the short film "The Meeting Place" (2011). In 2012 Hopkins appeared in three episodes of "Dark Matters: Twisted But True" (Discovery Science 2011-12), a series about strange occurrences in history. Hopkins appeared in a number of other short films including "The Square Orbit" (2013), "Life Lines" (2014), "Dead Gigolo" (2015) and "Since We Last" (2016). In 2016 it was announced that Hopkins would star in "Class," a television series intended as a spin-off of popular sci-fi series "Doctor Who" (BBC 1963- ) that will follow students at Coal Hill School, a key setting of the Doctor Who universe.
