Warren Foster

Writer, cartoonist, and composer Warren Foster has worked on many animated television series featuring some of the cartoon world's best known characters, including Porky Pig, Daffy Duck, Bugs Bunny, Sylvester, Yogi Bear, and the Flintstones. Foster began working with Warner Brothers in 1938, as an uncredited writer on the classic Porky Pig short "Porky in Wackyland." Throughout the years, Foster would earn writing credits for shorts featuring many of the aforementioned characters, and in 1950, scored a surprise hit with the novelty record "I Tawt I Taw A Puddy Tat": sung by Mel Blanc and co-written with Alan Livingston and Billy May, the song would sell over two million copies in the first year of release alone. In 1961, Foster signed with the Hanna-Barbera company, working primarily on the popular Saturday morning favorite "The Yogi Bear Show" and the prime-time cartoon smash "The Flintstones," and co-wrote the 1966 feature film "The Man Called Flintstone."
