William Tapley's career has brought him accomplishments both in acting and as an athlete. Tapley studied at the prestigious Royal Academy of Dramatic Arts. His acting career began in 1980, with roles in made-for-television movies and series. His first regular role came with the British crime drama series "Backup" on which he played the role of PC Lionel "Oz" Adams from 1995 to 1997. Throughout his career, Tapley has played several characters with roles in the military or law enforcement. Among them are an appearance in the 2001 mini series "Band of Brothers" and the part of Victor Elliott in the 2011 season of the U.K. series "MI-5," a show about the British government's intelligence agency. His first appearance on American television came with a role on an episode of the 2000 series "Relic Hunter," which introduced him to the U.S. audience. He would play Dr. Lewis in the 2005 romantic comedy "The Upside of Anger" and Radio Man in the 2006 political sci-fi thriller "V for Vendetta," both American films. As an athlete, Tapley has driven competitively across the Borneo Jungle and taken home the 1999 President's Cup racing his yacht in Fiji. When he is not working on film and television projects, Tapley enjoys performing with his jazz band and following his athletic interests.
