7 A Excellent and the only 35mm movie depiction of Freeway Rick and the Freeway Boyz based on a true story shot in South Central Los Angeles with actual protege's behind the camera and cameo appearances in the film. The movie that ultimately gained cultural recognition from its peers and helped get Rick Ross finally released from prison as it laced a full wall at blockbuster stores nationwide. This movie is for the people who know the real astonishing story that changed everything in cities nationally and especially for the people of South Los Angeles and Compton, Watts and the surrounding cities. Not a hood movie, a cultural historical classic. This movie is available on Tubi and Amazon. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/19/24 Full Review Audience Member This film is one of the most profound of it's genre. Chris Grayson's performance as a corrupt police officer was truly Oscar worthy. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/13/23 Full Review Audience Member This was a decent enough low budget coke dealer gangsta movie, that what it lacked in budget, violence and acting in some parts (just awful dreadful acting in some parts) it made up for in heart and story. Glenn Plummer who was also in Saw 2 did a pretty good job in this with what he was given for a script. His narrations seemed alittle cheesy at times and you could tell he cracked up probably the first time he read some of them. The action is down right hysterical in one part in the pool hall, and one of the younger gangstas mother acting is so bad I laughed out loud (not in a good way) when she was chastising her wanna be gang banger son. The movie was decent despite those bad parts, and it almost seemed like it was made for tv for like the usa network in the late 90s early 00's but they said Fuck in every other part in the movie. For Revenge of the nerds fans who happen to read this....Larry B.Scott who played Lamarre in The Revenge Of The Nerds Series makes a little cameo in this as well, so thats something to look for in this if you happen to ever want to track it down.
