Audience Member "Cash Crop" is a dull drama with little interest in characters, acting or any other element. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 01/25/23 Full Review Audience Member it's a pretty good movie. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 01/27/23 Full Review Audience Member Some down on their luck farmers decide growing pot will make them big bucks til the heat catches up to them. Its never a smooth road when you're doing something illegal. It will always catch up to you. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 01/15/23 Full Review Audience Member Indie flick about farmers having to grow weed to make money. You get to see Dawson smoking weed as well :) Rated 4 out of 5 stars 01/25/23 Full Review Audience Member Young man (Wil Horneff, ether can't act or just doesn't give a shit about his job) finds his parents (Jeffrey DeMunn, convincing as a struggling farmer, and Lisa Emery, barely present) are growing Marijuana and is unsettled. To make matters worse a DEA agent and the local sheriff (Mary McCormack and John Slattery) are snoping around. Add a bit part by James Van Der Beek and you've got one lousy movie. Horneff isn't exactly stretching himself here and isn't exactly given much to work with. Why he's the center of the film is a mystery when focusing on ether A)Jeffrey DeMunn's character a struggling farmer who wll do anything to maintain the life he knows and loves or B) The tension between McCormacks DEA agent who wants to prosecute the growers and the conflicted Slattery who grew up in with them and sympathizes with there plight is beyond me. Give this one a miss. Rated 1.5 out of 5 stars 01/17/23 Full Review Audience Member Not the best. Just a lonely indie-film. However, I am a huge fan of indie-films and this one definately a favorite. Funy at times, especially the scenes with Dawson and friends getting high. It's definately a movie you can watch over and over. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/24/23 Full Review Read all reviews
