The cluttered, unconvincing dialogue -- not to mention Moseley's ongoing penchant for crazed overacting -- make it more of a genre curiousity than anything the Fangoria gang would likely want to sit through. Go to Full Review

The backstories keep piling up, with nods to The Shining, The Ring, and a dozen other gothic supernatural chillers, yet the result doesn't remotely scare you -- rather, it keeps explaining why you should be scared. That's why we're not. Go to Full Review

With most bad movies, you can grasp that the filmmaker had a vision but failed. Lost amid ludicrous, ever-changing plot elements, I struggled to see what this movie was trying to achieve. Go to Full Review

Overall, the pacing and characters are where House suffers. The film works as a direct-to-DVD horror movie, but it definitely has its rocky moments. Go to Full Review

Lilia C. @LiliaLove Oct 26 Would only buy it on dvd to set it on fire See more John H 11/01/2024 The main couple were totally unconvincing as a couple. There was absolutely zero chemistry, which made the movie less intense. The husband (Reynaldo Rosales) was a jerk for the first half of the movie, and never became someone you could root for. Julie Ann Emery was the standout in this movie, but she wasn't enough to save it. It was a good Friday night movie. Ate some popcorn, I was entertained for an hour and a half. It wasn't rocket science but Madsen is always fun to watch and I liked the twisty end. I recommend it. See more 10/30/2021 Fascinating story with a surprising end. I liked it very much and Michael Madsen plays 2 parts in this movie? Makes you think about what is reality and what is supernatural reality and if there is a connection/ overlapping of the two. See more 11/01/2017 Loved the book, loved the movie. Sure it's objectively below average when it comes to filmmaking, but I got everything I wanted out of this film adaption of my favorite novel. See more Read all reviews
