justin t It looks very much as if it was shot by amateurs. This is a deliberate effect but not that attractive to look at. It looks like something I shot on mini DV when I was a teenager. Surprisingly this is far more believable as an amateur film than Romero's Diary of the Dead (2007) although less entertaining. Minimalistic and often empty soundscapes fit the amateur style of the film but it is hardly awe inspiring although the sound effects are realistic. The acting was another amateur aspect of the film but unlike the other areas it does not add to the movie, it takes away. The direction was very basic. What story? Zombies take over Britain and it is captured by real people with real cameras. With such a simple story the pace is very slow. If there was more story then this might have worked.
