Shubhra Gupta The Indian Express The Rebound is a little deeper than your average rom-com, but only a little. Rated: 2/5 Apr 17, 2019 Full Review Deborah Ross The Spectator This recipe can serve an entire Odeon at one sitting and, astonishingly and depressingly, will probably even make money at the box office, even though the best accompaniments are boredom and ennui. Aug 30, 2018 Full Review Jon Frosch The Hollywood Reporter Saddling two game actors with a tone-deaf, charmless script, the film makes recent J.Lo vehicle The Back-up Plan look like Billy Wilder in comparison. Nov 9, 2010 Full Review Jane Crowther Total Film The Rebound does nothing new but does it, for the most part, well. Zeta-Jones and Bartha have sweet chemistry together and it's refreshing to see her portray uncertainty with elements of frumpiness and doggedness. Rated: 3/5 Aug 23, 2018 Full Review David Nusair Reel Film Reviews ...a thoroughly (and consistently) misguided piece of work that has almost nothing truthful or relevant to say about relationships. Rated: 1.5/4 Feb 28, 2012 Full Review James Plath Movie Metropolis Poor writing and inconsistencies sink this film. Let's hope that Zeta-Jones and Bartha can rebound. susan c I had never even heard of this movie. It is hilarious‼️CZJ is really good. The kids are obnoxiously adorable. It is raunchy and silly. A lot of really good actors. If you want to belly laugh watch The Rebound. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Rated 5 out of 5 stars 08/10/25 Full Review Dan G If you like Rom Coms, you should like this. It ain't great but it is good. Catherine Zeta Jones is beautiful and sexy and the stars have some Chemistry. This is some comedy that works and some that is ok. There are several things in this move that kids should really not be exposed to that are kind of Raunchy or disgusting, fleetingly but there. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 08/07/25 Full Review Rebecca A I can't help it. It's such a bizarre and bizarrely perfect strange little film. Great wish fulfillment roles on both sides: whether you want to believe you are as beautiful as Catherine Zeta-Jones and will land an amazing job and incredibly sweet young barista who's marvelous with the kids as soon as you dump your loser spouse, or imagine your dead-end barista job and Justin Bartha puppy-dog eyes are your ticket to landing a hot older woman. Add in one of Art Garfunkel's rare acting roles, a Wednesday Addams type little girl and a white-rapper heavy soundtrack and you have a film that has no business being so enjoyable and immensely rewatchable, but there it is nonetheless. Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 06/25/25 Full Review Audience Member Had a quite 'zig-zag' storyline. Everything was quite straight-forward but at the same time -- a bit confusing. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 05/23/25 Full Review Connor S The disparities shown between time, age, and backgrounds effecting the world in as small of a sense as one couple was oddly marvelous. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 09/20/24 Full Review May 20, 1 i'm not a romantic but this is my favorite rom com Rated 5 out of 5 stars 04/23/24 Full Review Read all reviews
