Reyhan Harmanci San Francisco Chronicle It's fun to see attractive people get together and fall apart. Rated: 3/4 Jan 5, 2009 Full Review Andrew O'Hehir Salon.com Ambition and a roomful of good-looking guys isn't quite enough. Dec 3, 2008 Full Review Jeannette Catsoulis New York Times While the director ogles his cast and busies himself with hackneyed visual metaphors, Antarctica wallows in casual lust and bored disaffection. Rated: 2/5 Nov 28, 2008 Full Review Mark Peikert New York Press Manages to combine sizzling sex scenes with an actual heart, putting all of the low-budget gay trash that American audiences must suffer through to shame. Dec 3, 2008 Full Review Nora Lee Mandel Film-Forward.com Amusingly makes the point that men can be rotten to each other like to women in so many heterosexual romantic comedies, but makes this point over and over again. Rated: 2/10 Nov 27, 2008 Full Review Harvey S. Karten Compuserve The dialogue is lame enough to make one think that the story exists only as an excuse for the sexual couplings. Audience Member Lackluster and disappointing. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 02/21/23 Full Review Audience Member lame basically soft core porn Rated 1.5 out of 5 stars 01/21/23 Full Review Audience Member My first movie properly focused on gay relationshjips. Hence no comparison. But only a pleasant surprise. Very simple yet with comical elemets and with some 'reality' I have brushed against when being in Israel. I should (I will!) watch more films on the topic to be able to give a balanced judgement. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 01/25/23 Full Review Audience Member There will be spaceships. And cross-dressing. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 02/13/23 Full Review Audience Member One big fat message is: all gay men are drop-dead gorgeous. The intention is good, the romance is cute, and the sex scenes are amazing. However, on the whole it's inconsistent and it lacks character development. Rated 1.5 out of 5 stars 02/22/23 Full Review Audience Member This is definitely one of the better Queer Films that I’ve seen in recent years. Despite being set in an enviously homosexuality-accepting Israel, this film portrays a rather Universal tale of Love and relationships between gay characters. A tale more engaging than some of the other Queer (or straight) romance flicks I’ve seen. This film is worth a watch if you are at all interested in Queer Cinema.
