Audience Member Listed by TCM as: "A mad bayou doctor makes zombies for Hitler after practising on his wife." That pretty much says it all. (Still, a fun watch for fans of b-horror!) Rated 2 out of 5 stars 02/06/23 Full Review Audience Member No scares and no thrills and some very stereo typical characters in this thankfully short film Rated 2 out of 5 stars 02/10/23 Full Review Audience Member Is this real or is this pretend! Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 02/11/23 Full Review Audience Member Wow. I sure expected more out of this. I thought it was going to be a scary eerie film rather than the comedy-thriller I got. I know these aren't the flesh-eating "Night of the Living Dead" zombies, but would it have killed them to make it a LITTLE bit scary? White Zombie was made a full decade before this, and it has GREAT zombies, plus a really spooky atmosphere and tone. Ditto for I Walked With a Zombie. This had a feel and score that reminded me of Spider Baby (a very weird but entertaining horror-comedy), including Mantan Moreland as comic (?) relief. John Carradine in the "mad scientist" role didn't help. Besides Grapes of Wrath, was that guy EVER in a GOOD movie? I don't think he ever said "no" to ANYTHING. Big disappointment. Rated 1.5 out of 5 stars 01/13/23 Full Review Audience Member Cashing in on the Zombie storm of the 30's and 40's - not lending much to Seabrooks' Magic Island just trying to make a quick buck - really poor but again is all part of the evolution of the zombie cinema Rated 1 out of 5 stars 01/24/23 Full Review Audience Member A little campy, and a bit politically uncorrect. This movie could stand a Hollywood remake. After all, thats what Hollywood does now, remake other films. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 01/24/23 Full Review Read all reviews Post a rating
