While I loved the historical perspective offered on Jamaican rocksteady standards, I can't help but feel like both the stories and the music were given short shift in an effort to keep the running time brief. Still, if you're looking for a jumping off point for learning about mid-20th century Jamaican music, this is a handy little primer.
