Neil Genzlinger New York Times This modest movie, with a side plot that looks unblinkingly at gay-bashing among high school students, deserves to attract crossover customers. Rated: 3/5 Jan 22, 2010 Full Review Mattie Lucas From the Front Row A very likable and often quite moving piece of entertainment, a film likely to please its target audience without breaking any new ground. Rated: 2.5/4 Aug 5, 2019 Full Review Fr. Chris Carpenter Movie Dearest Reminiscent of the superior, 1999 British film "Get Real"...To "Watercolors" detriment, (writer-director) Oliveras turns up the angst and minimizes the humor in tale of conflicted boy-love. Rated: C Jan 23, 2010 Full Review Read all reviews

Audience Member This is a great film .I know it reflects my life and how memories affect every relationship I ha ve had since my first love. Indeed, the first love colors the rest of your life. It is something I would not give up for anything, but it is baggage. Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 02/18/23 Full Review Audience Member ...hmm the first love... Rated 3 out of 5 stars 01/14/23 Full Review Audience Member A little slow but a film worth watching. Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 01/22/23 Full Review Audience Member Watercolors is emotional and a nice coming-of-age film, but its storytelling is too messy and some dialogue is truly disappointing. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 01/28/23 Full Review Audience Member modest movie about 2 gays meeting Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 01/21/23 Full Review Audience Member Tye Olson as the gay teen Danny is outstanding in this coming of age story with a very tearful outcome that left me in years.
