Empire Magazine Rated: 4/5 Jul 4, 2013 Full Review Tom Beasley VultureHound When it allows Cummings and Sellers to spar though, and takes its dark turn, it's an enjoyable and fleeting caper. Rated: 3/5 Aug 17, 2020 Full Review Clyde Gilmour Maclean's Magazine Like many another recent comedy from both sides of the Atlantic, this British effort begins hilariously but fails to fulfil its promise, bogging down in strain, coyness and repetition. Oct 16, 2019 Full Review Isabel Quigly The Spectator Charles Crichton has directed a neat and highly enjoyable film, with some brilliant timing in its attempted murder scene and the sort of scorings-off that will appeal to everyone. Audience Member Again, Sellers fails to deliever the laughs and leaves that to the wonderful Robert Morley, bar the one scene where he is trying to kill off the american business woman. But this is too slow and sellers is being too much of a smart ass....again Rated 2 out of 5 stars 02/10/23 Full Review Audience Member classic British comedy . Enough said Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/02/23 Full Review Audience Member A successful but unliked US businesswoman is sent away to Scotland where she meets the owner of a tweed manufacturing firm. She wants to revolutionise his firm's working methods,; his workers don't want any such nonsense. Peter Sellers' character plots her comeuppance. Mildly amusing, would probably have been much better if it had been made as an Ealing comedy. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 02/23/23 Full Review Audience Member British comedy in familiar style for the time. Sellers and Morley are both brilliant as rather opposite individuals runnng the same company. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 02/06/23 Full Review Read all reviews Post a rating
